Peter Morey commenced Access Mercantile in 1990 after identifying a gap in the industry. The firm now supports the most extensive network of field and collection agents across Australia offering an array of specialised collection services.
Leveraging the synergies associated with Access Mercantile Services, Peter has actively been involved in the creation and implementation of numerous businesses that span across various industries all residing under the Access Group of companies. As Chairman, Peter is actively involved in all aspects of theses businesses which he thoroughly enjoys.
His drive to be the best in whatever he does and provide clients with the best possible experience is second to none.
Michael joined Access Mercantile Services in 2005 in the capacity of Managing Director. Prior to joining Access Michael spent over 5 years working for Mercedes Benz Financial Services as General Manager – Credit Risk for their Australian & New Zealand businesses. Michael has had over 30 years’ experience in the financial sector having worked in Sales, Collections, Credit Risk Management and all aspects of the credit life cycle for many of Australia’s well- known financiers.
Michael has a passion for customer management and prides himself in relationship creation and retention. He understands the value of ‘brand‘ retention and works hard to ensure expectations are not only realistic but met.
Michael has played an instrumental role in the evolution and growth of Access Mercantile Services.
Leo Gagic is a highly experienced senior executive with over 30 years Credit/Collection expertise leading global operations within private equity and top 200 ASX listed organisations. He has a proven track record in successfully leading and transforming critical business functions that comprise large P&L and capital investment responsibilities. Prior to joining Access Mercantile Services, Leo spent the last 13 years working for Telstra in the capacity of Executive Director – Global Finance Services where he was charged with the responsibility of Collections & Recoveries, Accounting, Revenue Assurance, Billing, Business Intelligence and Reporting for all of Telstra and its subsidiaries globally. Leo holds a Bachelor of Business [Accounting & Economics] along with a MBA – Monash University and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors [GAICD].
Head of Operations
Blair initially joined Access Mercantile in early 2003 as a Field Agent after already working as a Field Agent for many years . After many successful years in the field, Blair joined our Locations Department and eventually was promoted to Head of Operations.
Blair is charged with running end to end operations for Access Mercantile Services inclusive of client liaison and ensuring all aspects of our operations are performing to expectation. With over 20 years industry experience working across all aspects of collections, there really isn’t much Blair hasn’t experienced. His extensive and diverse background along with a passion to get it right ‘first time’ for our people and clients continues to help set Access apart from its competitors and make a real difference.
Head of Finance
As Head of Finance, Jacob Mohan is responsible for all of the company’s financial functions including accounting, audit, treasury, taxation and investor relations. His career spans more than 30 years of experience in financial management, business leadership and corporate strategy.
Before joining Access Mercantile in 2012, Jacob held various senior finance roles across large multi-national organizations across different global regions.
Outside of his financial management responsibilities, Jacob Is heavily involved in strategic decision making offering sound advice on long term financial and business planning to the Access Senior leadership team and the Chairman direct.
Jacob holds a Master of commerce and a Master of Professional Accounting as well as a CPA
Head of Locations & Investigation
Tony joined the Access Mercantile Services team in 2003 and is responsible for the Locations and Investigations function. The Locations and Investigations team are a highly specialised team dedicated to tracking down and locating ‘skip’ debtors and / or assets for recovery purposes. Prior to joining Access, Tony spent over 5 years at Mercedes Benz Financial as Collections Manager - Australia responsible for all national collection functions. Tony also spent time at AGC Finance and Mercantile Credits, holding various Lending and Collection positions. Prior to his Banking & Finance career, Tony was in law enforcement with the Australian Federal Police.
